October 25, 200520 yr After talking with one of the cashiers at the main store in the upper-deck, for the first time, I was able to put how much revenue is derived from a playoff appearence. Now, I'm sure a season-ticket holder or someone like that may be able to expand on these numbers, but, after the customer in front of me spent $400 on assorted Sox swag, he told me the larger concourse stores like his and the one found behind home plat on the lower level, have made $90,000 per game, while the smaller stores have made upwards of $50,000 per game. Ex-squeeze me!? Now, add to that all the swag sold around Chicagoland, Whitesox.com, etc. and you really start to get a sense of how much coin these Sox are creating. I can only imagine what the bottom-line looks like after adding all these merch sales, ticket sales, advertisments, etc. together. CHA-FREAKING-CHING
October 25, 200520 yr IIRC.. MLB gets the coin and distributes it evenly to all the teams. Everything licensed by MLB is done this way I believe.

Revenue sharing? To this degree? Holy smokes. ...and then people wonder by Pinella exploded on TB upper-management for not opening up their pocketbook.
