I'm going to order an authentic jersey and I see the smallest size available is "40".

 

What kind of person does this size fit? People who usually wear size Small shirts? Medium?

 

Maybe I'll just go to Sports Authority or something and try some on, but any advice here would be good before that.

I have a size 44 jersey, and i'm like 5'9" and wear mostly size Large stuff. So i think what you said is probably right, but i'd try something on.
