Would the final out baseball be worth all of this trouble?

I honestly dont think Reinsdorf would make this big of a deal out of the final out. I really think that he was happy to win it all, and the ball was just icing on the cake.

They argue that the only reason why he caught that ball was because he was an employee of the Red Sox. Couldn't he argue that it is because he was a member of the Red Sox that he was a reason why they were in that position?

People give away balls for personal achivements all the time, this was his own personal achivement.

Wouldnt this come down to ownership rights within the ballpark though? The game was played in St Louis, i dont really see how the Red Sox could claim any sort of ownership on the ball really.

Who buys the balls? Shouldn't that be who has ownership rights to it?

That's what I'm wondering.
