December 15, 200520 yr I was reading in PHT about the thought of Danks from the Rangers. There seemed to be a good vibe when we drafted his younger brother that he is not going to sign but hoped we would take him in the upcoming years. If we did trade for his brother could we not draft him next year and sign him before the 2007 draft or is this just JUCO players? What are the parameters? I thought we could do this with a Junoir in college but so could everyone else. I guess I am just looking to see if there is anything to this? Two Danks and Jenks makes for a-lot of K's.

The younger Danks is the one we drafted (and an OF'er) but chose to go to Texas. You can't draft him for 3 years (until after his Jr. season).

I know his brother John is a pitcher, so that makes sense from that point. But the other part of that i don't get.
