Devil Rays signed infielder Greg Norton to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.

The Rays never made room for Eric Munson or Earl Snyder last year. Norton, who hit .285/.374/.503 for Triple-A Charlotte last season, shouldn't have any more luck than they did.
