The majority of the ones that are great end up being poor-average major leaguers, and ones that are decent in the minors seem to do better in the majors. Just get 'em up to the bigs and we'll see how good they are (or are not).

You're right, by extension, it's those truly terrible ones who end up becoming HOF'ers.

There are hidden gems in every team's minor league system. The challenge is identifying actual potential from the run-of-the-mill minor leaguer.

Outings such as this one are not the norm for how he pitches... He's gonna be all right...just needs more work...He's got the location...Once he gets more spin/velocity on his fastball, he'll be a more complete pitcher who can succeed at this level.
