February 4, 200620 yr Yeah its been a big thing here today, with Lubbock being Buddy Holly's birthplace. I can't tell you how many times they have played "the day the music died" :-).
February 4, 200620 yr I highly suggest that people pick up one of the Best of Buddy Holly discs that are out there. It is really great music and clever songwriting.

Tragic day for sure. And only a short time later the RnR world would suffer another horrible loss, one that would change the landscape even further, and that was the death of Eddie Cochran.
