WHERE have all the flowers (Hawk & Wimpy) gone?

Featured Replies

BACK in 99 or so I used to watch 80 gms a yr on WGN as part of our local NY cable company......LISTENED to Hawk and Wimpy...AND I know Hawk obviosuly is still around, but what happened to Wimpy?? OR is he know called DJ??? AND whyd they split up??

BE GOOD hawk & wimpy, i miss ya guys :cheers

Wimpy still broadcasts, but not for the Sox. He isn't announcing anymore with us because he didn't want to be so far from home during the season. I believe he does Braves games on FSN down there and I've also heard him a few other places over the past few years. I miss him as well, he's far better than DJ.

Whimpy was doing Tigers games. I also think he did Mariners games for some reason (Maybe this year). Not positive on where he is this season cause I've yet to see him.

I heard that Whimpy didn't work hard enough and it upset Hawk, although I would of never known there was a problem hearing the two of them in the booth.

I think it would be way cool if the Sox had Whimpy join in on a few games when the Sox were in his home area. That would be a good PR thing to do.

Paciorek went back to Michigan to work on some personal/familiy matters. He did some Tiger baseball and is now working elsewhere but I forget for who. He was always a class guy and I don't think there was any friction between Hawk and him, just some stuff that Paciorek needed to take care of.

just found this - looks like Paciorek is still on very good terms with the Sox, as I thought, it was his decision to take time off, not a Sox decision to can him
