March 3, 200620 yr I loooove me some Allman Brothers. In addition to the officials, there are close to 30 soundboard concerts from 1970 to 1973 that have been released on bootleg, not to mention plenty of outtakes and jam compilations. What are your favorite songs? My Top 10: Jessica (Instrumental) Blue Sky (Instrumental) Ramblin' Man Mountain Jam (Atlanta 7/3/70, 35 minutes) In Memory Of E. Reed (Instrumental) Trouble No More (Instrumental) One More Ride (Instrumental) Midnight Rider My Favorite Things (Instrumental) Hot 'Lanta (Instrumental) I'm a huge jazz fusion fan, so I love the organ & guitar exchange on their instrumentals.
March 3, 200620 yr How the heck did Whipping Post not make your list??!!! No love for One Way Out either? Also, Blue Sky isn't an instrumental. Or are you only putting an instrumental version on your list. My top 10 would be: Whipping Post Elisabeth Reed One Way Out (love that slide guitar) Blue Sky (Dickey Betts = God on this one) Jessica Sweet Melissa Hot Lanta Ramblin Man Midnight Rider Mountain Jam

It also has a 30 minute (one track) jam and interview session with a "Ramblin Man" instrumental take. That bootleg kicks ass, and then some. "One Way Out" and "Whipping Post" kick ass too. I should put "One Way Out" in my Top 10, but I don't know what I'd take out.
