White Sox Will Decide Whether to Place Jose Contreras on the Disabled List; Charles Haeger Would Start Wednesday

The Chicago White Sox will decide on Tuesday whether they are will place Jose Contreras on the 15 day disabled list, retroactive to May 4th. Contreras reportedly underwent an MRI and had treatment on his back. While the injury isnt expected to be serious, he will miss at least Wednesdays start if his condition doesn't improve by Tuesday.

 

 

 

The Sox plan on talking with Contreras tomorrow afternoon and than taking what they feel is the appropriate course of action. If Contreras is placed on the disabled list, RHP Charles Haeger will be called up to make Wednesday's start.
