Honel, Wing, Reed, and Yan

Featured Replies

They were selected as members of the Carolina-California league all star game which will be played in Rancho Cucomunga (Angels affiliate).

Game is on June 26th, not sure what time, but I'm gonna make the hour drive to see these guys play. To me these are 4 of the top 10 prospects in the organization and their making it out here :headbang

Don't forget Ryan Meaux. He made it, too.

Wonder if any of them will be in Birmingham by then and have to pull out of the game?

Damn, I want them moving up, but I also want to see them play :D

What a dilemma, huh?

Lol, whatever is best for the Sox. I think they are ready to move up. I'm assuming Wing and Honel won't be moving up till the second half of the season and my guess is it will be the same for Reed, Yan and Meaux.

Birmingham could probably use all five and they all probably deserve a promotion, but my best guess is that Reed, Yan and Wing will be the first three. Meaux could beat Wing here if a reliever is needed, but right now, the Barons have no real rotation. My guess is Honel gets the nod later in the season, or perhaps not at all this year.
