July 15, 200619 yr A guy hits the ball of the the dirt in front of the plate and as he runs towards first the ball hits him and he is called out. How do you score this play? thanks.

I when scoring by hand use HBB and give the putout to the nearest fielder which would be the catcher in this case.

I wrote a program in High School for scoring a baseball game, but it was text based and writen in C++. Really lame, but fun to write!

You Bet, I got it through Baseball Info solutions to be able to do my scoring for Tucson. It is called BIS version 3.26 it is kind of neat.
