July 27, 200619 yr A look back at how the White Sox drafted in 2002. By Josh Wolff It is always difficult to judge drafts in baseball as the players take years to develop and show their true value. FutureSox takes a somewhat early look at the 2002 draft of the White Sox. In looking at the players taken it is hard to miss the large number of players, six, that have already made the majors. A few others have the chance to make the number even larger. While the top three picks from this draft class were traded, the value of the draft appears to be very good at the moment. http://www.futuresox.com/frontpage/modules...cle&sid=352
July 27, 200619 yr Awesome recap, Josh! Good thing we traded a few of those top picks while their value was high b/c they haven't done jack in the majors. It's players like these that make me not worry about trading prospects so much anymore. I mean, I used to get all worked up losing guys, like Anthony Webster and Josh Rupe, but in the end, the trades those guys were in haven't hurt us one bit.
