Summer Jobs

Featured Replies

Now that summer is sadly winding down and for most it's back to school. What's been the best summer job you ever had?

Mine was a couple summers back in college when I did an internship for a Pharmaceutical company. Training was intense but the rest of the summer being totally on my own controlling my schedule kicked ass. My boyfriend, at the time, and I were towns apart for the summer but this job made it easy to end the weekends by him where I conveniently scheduled my visits for the day.

The money of course was real nice :cheers

My summer job this year was easily the best.

Working full time for a baseball team? Check

Having awesome bosses? Check

Basically making my own hours? Check

Good Coworkers? Check

Possible future promotion for next year? Check

:)

For the ILL baseball team?

no, I worked for the frontier league team, the Windy City Thunderbolts.

independent league baseball is crazy

This summer's job, only because it felt good getting a fat paycheck every week along with being able to work my high school-college night job 15-20 hours a week.

Good thing the contract runs through the end of the year.

i went to the game on the 4th of July. man they didnt look too good.

When I was 15, I washed dishes. When I was 16, I worked in a kitchen. When I've been 17 and 18, I've worked at DQ. This summer I've also worked with an independant construction business making good money and parking cars at the county fair. I would say DQ is/was my best job because I work with all my friends and I became a manager this June so I make more money and do more supervising than making ice cream treats.

I worked as a research assistant at the University of Montreal a few summers back. Awesome! Great city, fun co-workers, and lax lax lax. On nice days my boss would just come in and would say go out and enjoy the day. It was so wonderful.
