June 18, 200322 yr I don't see what the debate is over. The ball hit the top of the wall and bounced up and hit the fence. The foul pole is considered a HR. The ground rule is if it hits the top of the fence and goes out it is a HR, and if it bounces back in it is a ground rule double. Since it hit the foul pole it should be considered in the stands. What is the big deal?
