September 23, 200619 yr He's starting to lose some of his control now. He's walked the second batter of this inning and now the no hitter is over with a Joe Randa HR.
September 23, 200619 yr Sucks for Young. Didn't Brenly, when he was managing the dbacks, criticize a player for breaking up a no hitter late in the game claiming the other team had no shot of winning?

Didn't Brenly, when he was managing the dbacks, criticize a player for breaking up a no hitter late in the game claiming the other team had no shot of winning? If I remember the situation correctly, Curt Schilling had a no hitter in the 8th inning of a 1-0 game. Ben Davis (that's right THE Ben Davis) ended up breaking up the no-no with a bunt basehit. After the game Brenley called it Bush League and cried about the unwritten rules of the game.

I believe the score was 2-0, but anyways, Brenley made himself look like a jackass.
September 23, 200619 yr ^ Schilling was 5 outs away from a perfect game when Ben Davis did it. That was bulls***. The game was 2-0 at the time. I once broke up a kids perfect game with a bunt in little league and we were getting an ass-whuppon. I did it b/c I didn't like the kid. He harrased me in school a lot. Coach pulled me from the game, but it was worth it. Edited September 23, 200619 yr by Cuck the Fubs
