I hate both sides

Presidents fire up voters

As an intense, sometimes nasty, midterm campaign closes, both parties brought out their big guns to fire up the faithful and sway swing voters. President Bush attacked Democrats over taxes. He said Democrat philosophy was "If it breathes, tax it. And if it stops breathing, find their children, tax it." Former President Clinton summed up Republicans with "they can't run anything right."

I disagree with both sides and it sickens me that two men who have lived in the White House could make such egregious statements without blushing.

Those both seem pretty mild and – for better or worse – the base pandering that is pretty much expected of them.

To tell the truth, I think Bush's quip about finding the children and then taxing them is pretty damn funny. :bang

er. . . I mean :fight :fight

He should give a raise to the speech writer that came up with that, it did make me smile. And as always, I know I'll be kicked out of the Dem party here, but on a personal level, I've always liked Dubya.
