April 14, 200718 yr Hopefully the correct forum here. I'm looking for the white version of the 1976-81 jersey. The one with the blue butterfly collar. I've fond the blue (road?) version at MLB: http://shop.mlb.com/sm-chicago-white-sox-a...pi-2430094.html First of all, I don't want to pay $200+. It doesn't need to be "authentic" or anything... just not too cheap. Second of all, I can't find the white version anywhere- expensive or not! I don't care if its used, old, whatever... April 14, 200718 yr I'm guessing this won't be less than $200, but Grandstand has it. http://www.grandstandsox.com/store/view_pr...oduct=WHIZTOOI3
April 15, 200718 yr Yes. As a jersey collector (I have nine Sox jerseys), you have to shell out for the vintage ones unless you find one (unlikely) on Ebay. $200 seems like a lot--it is--but consider that you'll be wearing it forever, so in that light it doesn't seem like a bad deal. At least that's how I talked myself into buying the 1959 jersey, which I do love and get many compliments on at the park. Next year? I want that 1968 one. I tried for a year to find a 1959 jersey used or on Ebay--no dice. Not saying you shouldn't try, but you might as well buy it new. The only jerseys I see a lot on Ebay are "replica" versions of the current Sox jerseys. Meh.
