June 29, 200322 yr Harris, 2nd base-yesterday he played well there Rowand, CF-He had the game tieing homer he deserves to start Frank, 1st-Obvisus reasons Mags, RF-again obvisus reasons Daubcah, DH he has been hot lately and we need his LH power. Lee- LF, best cubkiller on the team. Daubs at 5 to break up the RHs Valentin-SS, he has been our 2nd best hitter over the past week and we need his leadership in the lineup. D'Angelo-3rd, Maybe batting lower takes the pressure off of him and he starts to hit again Olivo- C, He works well with ELo. What do you think.

June 29, 200322 yr I agree that lineup would be better with Jiminez batting 9th. But I would bet that you are right on with the players.
June 29, 200322 yr I agree also. Olivo is a given to catch E-Lo. Jimenez played well in the 2 innings at 2B and we found he DOES have decent enough range. Let Crede rest. Harris at 2B is a good call also with him leading off and Rowand second again, in hopes he can get something going after yesterday.
June 29, 200322 yr I have no real opinion on what line up Manuel decides to play or what is suggested here. I like what was played on Saturday because I think it adds flexibility. I am especially happy for D'Angelo Jimenez because we have been hard on him, and maybe justifiably so, and he needed to produce to be considered an important part of the team. D'Lo playing 3rd base from time to time will help Crede who has been struggling. Getting players out of their comfort zones just might work for the teams benefit.
