Haven't heard it suggested here, but why not make a run at Shannon Stewart? Good leadoff guy, can he play CF?

Sure he can, but with the Blue Jays still in the hunt, I doubt they trade anybody before the deadline.

From TSN:

The Blue Jays are under budget, enabling them to assume some or all of the pro-rated portion of left fielder Shannon Stewart's $6.2 million salary in a deal for a starting pitcher.

Stewart, a skilled leadoff hitter, would be a good fit for the A's, Royals, Dodgers and Diamondbacks, though Luis Gonzalez plays left field for Arizona and Stewart's arm is weak for right. ...

Shannon Stewart has a notoriously terrible arm, but is a very underrated contact hitter. He'd have to play in left in my books so I don't think that would work. Plus, I think other teams would be willing to give up more than we.

it would be a stretch for him to play left.

Stewart is a good hitter who seems to be underrated, but my concern is how he has the tendancy to get hurt.

as someone said though, Jays are in it still.

I just don't see how and where Stewart would fit with the Sox.
