But do you by chance still have the old thread saved from the old Sox official site's boards (ya know, the one that was run by Ignite, not this s***ty-ass MLB one) called "Last Night I Meat the Sox," which was started by Big Frank. I think everyone on this board could use a big laugh.

the story behind Last nite i meat the sox is..... there was this guy who said his name was andrew saber who used to post on the other boards as bigfrank77 or something like that .. .anyhow.. he came to the old boards one nite and posted about his stay at a hotel in downtown chicago with frank, jose, maggs, paulie and other white sox players ... it was a recruitement type of thing (so he claimed) since the sox were so interested in signing him to a deal.... well one thing in the story led to another and belive it or not it became the most talked about post.......he did actually spell meet , meat....and he had popcorn and watched movies on the vcr with the white sox players in their hotel room in downtown chicago.... did you know that the sox stay in a hotel room when they are in town??? i never new that..... but andrew got to spend the nite with them.lmao......can you believe what some people will do for attention.........oh and since his venture with the sox andrew has gone onto careers such as basketball with the oslow kings....a team in the netherlands??? and has played soccer or something and he owns a fine jewerly store in the chicagoland area..... some catch huh???? lol

Heather,

Who cares about 'BigFrank'? There's more important things to discuss, healthy, wholesome things, worldly things, things that college kids do. Such as;

You're a VIRGIN??!!!

Let's talk about this, girl!

Okay, I'll behave, kinda...

This is the gist of it, I couldn't copy all of it because it was too long.

Here it is, copied and recopied, so it may be a little confusing, but, 'Our

Some guys who worked for Jerry Reinsdorf, i

think there names were Eric Law, and John

something, anyway, they invited me to meet the

Sox at their Hotel in Chicago so i could

introduce myself for next year! Everyone was

great, etcept 2 people, chris and Jose did

not take a real likeing to me, i guess chris

cause i also play center-field, and jose, well i

made a joke, i guess i should not have. we

were watching a movie, and jose was eating some popcorn and i said,

"popcorn, u sure are

good at popping, refering to him popping

up all the time". evereyone laughed, but jose,

i apoligized, but he just gave me a wry look. i

got everyone's autograph! I got to meet my

hero Frank, i gave him some of my opinons

since i watch him so carefully. Frank, Durham,

Sirotka, JB, CJ, Mags., Harold, & Simas

were particulary nice to me. I loved that night, i was like a kid in

a candy store!

geesh, meat, met, meet, it doesn't matter,

everyone knew what i meant. if i make the team

next year i don't know what i will play. i am

a true center-fielder, but we have chris, who i

don't see much in, but 5 mill$ joe borchard.

Mabye they would put me somewere else,

keep me as a utility, 1 start a week utility

gut, or mabye( god i hope so), i will start this

year untill borchard comes around, oh well i

can't wait till next spring training.

Right now i am focusing on fy, hopefully new

teamates rocking up Shoenweis tonight, and

winning the WS!

U know how frank is streaky, he has struggled,

i feel a hot streak comeing on for him and

the sox!

Go Sox!

Go Frank!

BigFrank-

What division are you starting in? I'm just

saying that I don't know if you'll be playing for

the Sox right away next year. We'll still look

for your stats though. Good luck.

my stats in my final college year for Duke

were:

.422 avg., 13 homers, 55 rbi's, 60 runs, 87

hits, 22 doubles, 3 triples, 4 ibb, 3 sac. flies,

47 walks, and only 11 strikeouts! Have u read

my post several old post list back?

I have already talked with Mr. Reinsdorf, manuel, and a brief

phone

conversation w/ Mr.

Schuler. They have already said if i do good

enough to make the team in spring training,

then i will be on the 2001 chicago whitesox

roster, they have been me in bp, they know my talent, they know i still have

my talent

after my injury, the only questio is if i can use my

great hitting at ml level! Options

Sorry to dampen everyone's enjoyment of this string. But this is

way out of line. We have one of our future White Sox stars

posting on our web site, and all we give him is ridicule? I am

truly ashamed of all of you. This has gotten way out of line. I

am hoping we start hearing some apologies.

Now...I'd write more, but I've got a big meeting with Williams,

Reinsdorf and Manuel in a few minutes...and Maggs, PK, and Frank

keep stealing this mornings Trib from me. And Maggs has eaten ALL

of the scrambled eggs that I made for the team this morning!!!

I'm telling you, he'd better watch what he eats, or he'll be

looking like Fernando Valenzuela in right field!! I'm not sure I

like spending the entire winter in the same hotel room with the

White Sox. They come to me for advice on hitting, fielding, and

scoring with the women, and all I get is grief!!! And I think

Jose was up all last night watching SpectraVision (how many times

can you watch "Naughty Stewardesses????") And here's the big

scoop, A-Rod came by last night and hung with me and the boys.

I'm meeting with Boras later today. I think I can get him to drop

down from $250-million to $249-million. I'll keep everyone

posted!!! ________________________________________

This post is true!!! Right at this moment I am with the entire

Sox team on Dr. Evil's hidden island. We are all plotting a way

to kidnap Steinbrenner and ask for a ransom of..... two hundred

meeeelion dollars. We will use the money for ARod. The Sox

players read this and said that yes, it did happen. Jose said he

loves popcorn and movies. His favorites are "Jiffy Pop" and

watching "Ishtar".

Everyone is here. Andy Kaufman and Elvis are playing air hockey,

and Jim Morrison is talking to Jimmy Hoffa about which free agent

is the best to sign in 2001.

Yesterday we went out to Dr. Evil's baseball field and I pitched

to every current major league player. Since I throw 140mph like

Sid Finch, I struck all of them out on 3 pitches. Then I batted

against every major league pitcher and hit an 800 ft home run off

each one. Everyone agreed that I am way to good to play in the

majors since I would dominate and win every World Series by

myself. So they gave me 1 trillion dollars, the playboy mansion,

and all the girls inside to promise I would not play.

Today, after hunting aligators with Maggs and Carlos Lee, I

played one on one with Michael Jordan and easily beat him. He

cried and left the room, so I chased him down to apologize. Later

we made friends over a couple of "yoohoos", and I took him to see

"Bagger Vance". He loved the movie so much that he said I can

come to his house anytime and help him run the Washington

Wizards.

Tomorrow, I'm going deep sea diving with Konerko, Charles

Johnson, and Jerry Manuel. We are going to search for buried

treasure. Konerko said "It will be just like an episode of Clutch

Cargo".

Next week I am scheduled to teach English classes at Duke University with

Mark Johnson and Herbert Perry. God knows Duke is

in need of a good English teacher. We will spend most of the week

on spelling and grammer, since it appears that those areas are in

most need of help.

All the players tell me they hope the winter goes by slow because

they are having so much fun with me on Dr. Evil's island. We have

a big party planned in January right before the pitchers and

catchers fly back for spring training.

Oh, and the true reason Schueler quit..... he lost a bet with me.

He bet me that I couldn't run a marathon in 22 minutes. If I won

the bet, he would quit and I would be GM. I won of couse, but insisted that

they say

Ken Williams was GM to hide my secret

identity, since I am also a CIA agent. So I am the true GM and

will be signing everyone to the Sox next year. Schueler is all

upset, because he says he was drunk when he made the bet and

didn't know what he was doing.

Well, I have to go know. The playboy playmates are waiting for me

to join them in the pool. Ray Durham and Josh Paul are

barbequeing the aligators we caught today. Next year you are all

invited to come to as many games as you want for FREE.

Yes, yes, yes. I am still a virgin, and I will be 21 in 1 1/2 months. I have chosen to live a chaste life until married, and then if/when I get married, I will only share my love with the partner I have tied the vow to.

Heather, first of all, sending you greetings, have missed you greatly onn the MLB boards.

Any conversation with BigFrank was an adventure! He'd post on and on abiyt the most unbelievable things - his favorite basketball player was Dirk Nowicki (spelling?) of Dallas and he got riled when you rapped on the Mavs only less rabidly than when anyone critized Frank Thomas.

Hope all is well with you at ISU -

Oh, things are always going great at the world's greatest university! I just have two more semesters left after this, and then I go back home for student teaching...and then into the REAL teaching world! Oh, and since I am going to be a high school math teacher, I have MUCH power given me! Such as the power of brainwashing! I will instill a deep passion for Chicago and ISU sports by putting the Hawks, Bears, Sox, Bulls, and Redbirds in my mathematical story problems on exams and homework! :)

Have you heard from BigFrank lately? If so, tell him that I know many English education majors who would be willing to teach him proper grammer!

Heather,

That's your decision, and an honourable one.

However, if you change your mind, and want 'expert' instruction, let me know!

The 'meat' post, fortunately, was saved in my file, becuase if I hadn't , we would'vehave it any longer. All 8,000+ posts I ever made prior to the 'KW GIF' are gone, all deleted by MLB.

It's not over, either. There will be more, and I may get banned again. Today I posted this;

When I was a young man just about every young lady I dated shared your sentiments exactly. At least they did when they dated me! On a more serious note I hope you stick to your plan. By the way is the dorm called Manchester still standing at ISU?

That's terrific, Heather. I was chaste all through college myself,

but only because I was a 5'6'' 130 lb. geek. After four years of

agony, it's great to come across someone who is chaste by

choice.

Yes, Manchester Hall is still standing and running well. I never lived there though, living in Haynie for the first two years (yes waaaaaaaaaay out in Tri Towers). Definitely the most rowdy dorm here on the lovely ISU campus (man is it quite the dorm of rape as well now a'days). Manchester is only 1 1/2 blocks away from my dorm, which happens to be the tallest college dorm in the world, Watterson Towers.
