I remember seeing A LOT of people saying we should spend everything to take one chance at a World Series, and that it didn't matter what happened after the fact. They just wanted the one title. Those people seem to have all disappeared, except for one honest one here. :cheers to you for being honest.

After 23 years of waiting, I was beginning to think that it wouldn't happen in my lifetime. I won't say that I "don't care" what happens for the next 40-50 years, but if they didn't even win another pennant over that time, 2005 will be worth it to me.

I guess my spin is, yea, it was worth it, but at the same time, I want to have the CHANCE to win every year. It doesn't mean that I EXPECT to win, but I want to at least be in the race down to the wire each and every year. You have to strive to be a playoff team every day out once Spring Training starts. Too many of these buttholes are still living fat, dumb, and happy off of 2005, whether some of you want to admit certain guys are or not.

This team is close... on paper... which is a lot of the problem.

I think that is really how I feel on all counts to be honest. You put it better than I did though.
