Saw this on the BaseballAmerica website...

 

The Sox signed shortstop Mike Rouse to a minor league contract.

 

Rouse (27) was the SS for the Indians AAA team in 2007. Before that he was with Oakland and Toronto.

No doubt he bumps Tomas Perez as the Charlotte SS in 2008 and could serve as a backup in Chicago if necessary.
