January 29, 200818 yr I just got approved for this program. basically, 1)you visit businesses, 2)get them to fill out a card, 3)take a picture of their storefront 4)and submit it to google 5) Google approves the business and you get paid (2 bucks a bizness). 6) Google then sends those businesses a post card to verfity info. 7) Business sends back response card (hopefully) 8) Google then pays you again (8 bucks per verified business) 9) you get monthly checks I know there will be naysayers, but imagine a shopping center filled with 10-15 businesses. That's potentially 150 bucks right there. It may take you an hour to hit all of those and then maybe an hour for submitting info, uploading pictures, and contacting businesses to make sure they respond to the card. 2 hours for anywhere up to a $75 an hour. The key is in the success rate. thoughts?
January 30, 200818 yr Author http://www.google.com/services/local-busin...rals/about.html seriously, am I the only person that's heard of this?
January 30, 200818 yr Internet companies do it all the time. Look at the ad banner on this very page. Paid by the click, or the page show.
January 30, 200818 yr basically they are paying for refereals for their ad words program. Not a bad idea.
January 30, 200818 yr Author right. There are people in the google group I just joined that have had over 2k referrals. That's a lot of work...but that's like $4k without the verified business dollars.
