July 6, 200322 yr I swear the Sox would be ready to win it all if they moved Carlos and a prospect or Glover along with an addition prospect (Carlos Included) for Ponson and Lightenberg. Please KW, screw this big name idea, get guys that will help the team. BOth have great stats and are good pitchers. I could give a damn if they are "big names" they will put this team over the top.
July 6, 200322 yr The whole point of getting Everett here was to improve our O We have to play Everett in CF and Lee in LF to get the most O. By moving Lee away, moving Everett to LF and playing Harris/Rowand in CF does not improve what we had before the trade Remember, Lee and Everett both have very similar numbers ..... if anyone should be traded, it should be Konerko or Daubach

July 6, 200322 yr This O is going to be fine. Rowand and Harris can do the little things and they are nice to have in center. The offense is going to be just fine. They are now a very balanced lineup and the Sox don't need Carlos Lee. Having another good starter and a good reliever is much more important.

July 6, 200322 yr Everett is more consistent than Lee. He has hit less than .200 for the last 5 or 6 weeks! The biggest thing is Everett is WAY smarter than that block head Carlos. The sox are a MUCH better team with Rowand in CF and Everett in LF. They need to deal Lee and NOW.

I think it depends on the price, but I could see the Sox trying to re-up with both. If they move Lee, it really means that they may be bringing both back. I do think if they resign the two of them then Colon goes for draft picks. Its even another reason why picking up Ponson would be huge cause it would still mean the Sox had 4 damn good starters, plus Wright in the bullpen who could go back to the rotation.

The whole point for having Lee and Everett both play every day is so that if one is slumping the other's bat will help with the O We HAVE to play Everett in CF in the playoffs Against the Yank, Bo Sox. As and Ms pitching we HAVE to get Everett in CF to have a chance to score the 3 to 4 runs that will be needed to win No way we trade Lee.....no way....we will be back where we started if we do that
July 6, 200322 yr They need to rid themselves of Koch and free up some cash. Reinsdorf has alot of money, he just hates to spend it...on the White Sox. He'd rather buy Kevin Garnett for 125 million than buy back Alomar, Everett, and Colon. If we do lose Colon, I'd like to see Cotts in the rotation for 2004.
