Anthony Carter went 5 innings tonight: gave up only 2 unearned runs, on 5 hits, 8 K's, 0 BB's.

Drops his ERA to 1.36.

And Carter now has 37 K's and 4 BB's in 6 starts (33 innings). :notworthy

hmmm i dont know much about carter....whered he come from? hes not exactly young, but hes not really old for that league either...if he continues to succeed he will have a good oppotunity to advance....

looking at his K and BB numbers from earlier in his career....looks like this kid may really have figured something out

Move up to W-S is probably warranted...he's a bit old for low-A, so no harm in moving him up.

26th round draftpick by the Sox in 2005. He's only played two years of minor league ball (2006 at Bristol and 2007 at Great Falls.) He just turned 22 in April, so he's league-average age for a pitcher in the South Atlantic League.

He's always had good control, but he's definitely taken it up a notch this year.
