BamaDoc
What odds could have been gotten preseason for a matchup of two of the better lefties in baseball would have a combined record of 1-12?
BearSox
not that special, considering Zito has been horrific for a while now, and some foresaw Buehrle's lack of success.
RME JICO
Mark pitched 4 consecutive seasons with over 230 IP maxing out at 260 innings in 2005, and has been 23-27 with a 4.47 ERA ever since. Zito pitched 6 consecutive seasons with over 210 IP maxing out at 244 innings in 2003, and has been 52-54 with a 4.27 ERA ever since. Zito is still a bigger shock because he has been brutal since joining the Giants. Mark just seems to be a little bit unlucky and is probably sad that Garland is gone.
