Thomas mad he was snubbed

Featured Replies

From an article from Whitesox.com:

It's disappointing (not making the team so far), but that's OK, I'm used to it," Thomas said. "It happened four times to me already, so it's nothing new. ... I wanted to be there because it's in Chicago this year, that's all, I'm not that upset because the numbers are not huge. I'm not saying I'm not deserving, it's just one of things that just didn't work out.

"There's always going to be snubs every year. I've seen it work so many different ways. You've just got to accept it and deal with it. I'm just tired of not making the All-Star team, and I've been so close to winning so many MVPs. It's like, what the heck do you have to do to be on the All-Star team? I just don't understand it."

We have got to get Frank in there. He deserves it! Keep voting!

Quit posting and vote. Oh. Oops.

I did my 2 hours for the morning and I VOTED 125 TIMES in that 2 hour span.

Why stop there?

My browser is getting slower and slower. All my info is coming up veeeeeeery slowly also. It takes like 5 minutes for 1 vote!

he sounds more frustrated than mad, and with good reason.

Yikes! I'm at work. I'm voting like a mad man. :headbang

He got snubbed in 2000, and look at the numbers he put up. Hell, if Thomas doesn't make it and he carries us to the playoffs, I'm good.

How many votes should I do? 100? Could get bored. Maybe If I got a little bird to do it for me

I think the one reason Thomas may get snubbed is his RBI totals are a little low considering.

Still he is definately worthy.

Thomas is having a good year, not a great year. He's basically saying he should be in for career accomlpishments and where the game is being played, IMO. And both these things should be non factors.

A .285 20 46 season is well worth an All-Star appearance. Especially considering he is 3rd in the league in OPS

Ya, but with the one guy per team rule and other restrictions, that's what'll happen. There's quite a few guys who could be on there and aren't, he's not the only "snub"

But why did Carl get picked. Not saying he doesn't deserve it, but Frank should go more.

Well I think we've learned a lesson that with the players and managers voting it's more important to have a good start than were you end up at near the AS break. This makes sense in that they receive their ballots around June 15th and let's face it , on June 15th Frank didn't have the #'s to make it.
