Twins and White Sox Interleague Opponents

I've always wondered if there was a lot of difference between the Twins and White Sox interleague schedule. There was a small discussion about it last night in the game thread so I decided to do some research over the past 7 full seasons. Although 2003 and 2004 would've been a lot closer, if not a White Sox division crown with a more even schedule. I found out that there isn't a lot of difference between the two teams. I ran out of time to go more in depth with interleague records for each team because I have to be at work in 15 minutes.

Also, when one team actually beats most of the teams they play and the other doesn't, it can make up for the slight difference in win differential, although I admit I don't know for sure how both teams fared in interleague play.

I have had a problem with the fairness of our schedule for some time.. Purely state sometimes we would play the angels or the yankees 9 games while others in our division played them only 6.. Is it possible with the aid of a computer for each team in our division to play the same oponents within a game or so every year.. Even if that means that we play the brewers, the reds, the cards, and whoever the tigers play.. Each team in our division should have 162 games against the same foes. Myself, We can do without the cross town classic..I've been to Cubs Sox games and believe me I'd rather work as a correctional center guard with hardened criminals intent on killing me like I did for 21 years rather than one game with those "riff raff ~!@#$^ cub fans!

I could be wrong, and i'm not gonna look it up, but I live in NY and am fairly cerrtain we've never played the yankees 9 times in any one season in recent memory.

Any discrepancy would purely be due to interleague play and not inter-division play within the AL. Again, i could be wrong but i'm fairly confident I'm not

They played the Yankees 10 times last year (7 at home, 3 in NY.)

HA! Well whaddya know...one woulda thought I'd have picked up on that haha. I guess I just always assumed teams inter-division schedules within the AL were all the same within their own divisions. My bad.
