robin23
I have heard that the Knights are going to be moving from south carolina back to the city's who's name they use. Anyone heard anything lately about this?
Chisoxfn
I loved the current facility they have, although it is older. The Knights have been trying for a couple years to get a downtown stadium. The goal is that the stadium would be home to the Knights as well as potentially ACC Championship Baseball.
robin23
The current stadium i believe was designed so that if Charlotte could lure a MLB team the current stadium could be expanded to be capable of housing an mlb team.

Yep. Its in a unique area and there is tons of room to add stuff. There is a lake behind the stadium (which is not visible during games as trees block it) but the lake causes for some very odd weather and the Knights stadium just gets barraged with rain delays throughout the summer (or at least it sure as heck did the couple different times I was out there). Jim Spencer
Last year when I went to Indy to see the Knights, there was a news reporter from a station in Charlotte who was interviewing fans to see what they liked about Victory field being located in downtown Indy. He told me Charlotte was trying to get funding for a new field in their downtown. He choose me because my son and I were wearing Knights' caps. I usually see the Knights twice a year when they are in Indy, Toledo, Columbus or Louisville and some day I'd love to see them at home. robin23
QUOTE (Jim Spencer @ Jul 10, 2008 -> 06:50 PM) I'd love to see them at home. I went to a game when i was in Charlotte in June, minor league games are awesome to go see. Not only because you pay around $10 instead of $50 but even if the Knights lose its not a big deal.
