Soxtalk, I Need Your Help

Featured Replies

I currently don't have any cable at my mom's house and it sucks. So being the good son that I am, I want to get cable for my mom and so I could watch Sox games when I visit. With that said, the only cable company I know of is Comcast and ATT U-Verse. The thing is, U-verse is not in my area and I have no idea when they will be. I've had Comcast before(within the past 3 months) and they are godawful. I absolutely don't want them at all. They're not an option. Now I know people are going to suggest satellite. I have DirecTV at my apartment and for the most part, love it. Thing is, my mom doesn't want a dish on her house and especially doesn't want any new holes drilled which we were told there would have to be.

With that said, can anybody recommend me some cable companies? My area code is 60643

You're perhaps the first to complain about Comcast. What exactly made you opt out from returning with them?

Personally, I've had them for a good year now and I think the service is great. You don't have to worry about a weak thunderstorm interfereing with your reception and they always seem to have good deals on different packages. Not to mention that their high-speed internet is real fast.

I've had Comcast and maybe they are not the greatest but where I live way above any dish.

Good luck searching.

I havent had problems with comcast, but I know people that have had many problems so I know what you are saying. I think the problem for you is that they are your only option because your mom doesnt want a dish, and AT&T isnt available where you are. My neighbor has WOW cable, but honestly I go nuts watching TV at his house, the interface is a total mess.

To me it looks like you either suck up your pride and get comcast or go for the lesser service
