I watched that game as a kid...they nearly yanked him when he walked in a run.

 

I actually kept the Sun-Times the day after that game for a while - was excited about a no-no for a Sox player.

 

That 86 team was pretty bad, but it was the first team I followed very closely (I was still a bit fuzzy in '83 - old enough to cry when they lost and when my Dad said after Game 3 that the Sox were going to lose the series).
