Jul 16 Various news outlets are reporting that the Yankees and Mets are extremely close to a deal involving closer Armando Benitez. The New York Daily News says that the Mets will receive minor league pitching prospects Jason Anderson, Anderson Garcia, and Ryan Bicondoa. The Daily News also claims that commissioner Bud Selig told the two sides on Tuesday to delay any announcements in order to not detract attention from the All-Star Game. Instead, according to the Daily News, the trade will become official on Wednesday. "It's not done, but it's very serious and very close," a source told ESPN.com. "It's not done, but it might get done [Wednesday], it might get done Friday; you don't always know how things like this go."

Benitez is quite similar to Botch, though better(because Benitez actually strikes people out) but they both throw a hard dead straight fastball. If Boch threw hard anymore they would be very alike.
