Woo...Ended the season the other day...started season 2-7....now at the end of the regular season they are 23-11. They have a 17-1 conference record, with their only loss coming to Charles City. Five straight conference championships in arguably the toughest 3A conference., the Northeast Iowa Conference. Now on to state. Although few of you care, I will keep ypu updated.

Coach Steve Sanders is coach of the Small Schools (East) team in the All-Star game coming up

He has an all-time record of 626-345. 14th in Iowa history and 4th of current coaches

He has taken Oelwein to five state tourneys (T15 overall)

1988 Class 3A runner up

Six state tournaments (T26 overall)

Knocked out in state semifinals past two years

 

 

The Huskies start the playoffs tomorrow.
