CLEVELAND -- Double-A Birmingham left-hander Aaron Poreda was named the Southern League pitcher of the week and infielder C.J. Retherford was named the league's batter of the week for the week ending May 10.

 

Poreda was 2-0 in two starts, including a five-inning no-hitter that marked the Barons' first no-hitter since April 5, 2001.

 

Retherford was 8-for-21 (.381) with three doubles, a triple, two home runs and 11 RBIs in five games.
