August 12, 1994, the players went on strike

I was only eight at the time, so I don't remember the strike too much. Looking back at it, the thing that pisses me off is that it was basically for nothing. The owners never got a salary cap that baseball needs, and everything is the same. This year the Yankees may very well prove that you can buy a championship.

Obviously, who knows what could have happened with the Sox? One game up on Cleveland the day the players walked out, with Frank having a monster year. And of course, baseball could still be in Montreal.

That was my third year as a Season Ticket holder. Julio Franco was a RBI Machine!!! :headbang
