OLD MAN SEEING OLD BAND

Featured Replies

Being the old crusty fart that I am, I had to find a band older than me to see this summer, and I found one:

Just got my ticket to see THE SEX PISTOLS on August 29th at the Aragon!

The ORIGINAL lineup is touring again ( Glen Matlock on bass ) and I saw them in '96 and they sounded very good.

I've seen some recent pictures of them, though, and they are TOTALLY falling apart!

Reverend Horton Heat and Dropkick Murphys are the support bands - should be a good OLD time!!

Sex Pistols are cool, they were trailblazers. DKM I always hear good things about, I like Flogging Molly and Swingin' Utters who have similar sounds, I just haven't gotten around to giving DKM the time. Their new album is supposed to be good though, they got permission to use some of Woody Guthrie's lyrics from his family.

Sex Pistols touring sounds like a nostalgia band now.

Howver, the Rev Horton Heat is always excellent.

I thought maybe you were joining Maury for another Scorpions/WhiteSnake Summer Tour

That'd be pretty sweet, god save the queen. I saw Rev. Horton Heat in Banff, that was fun.

NO

f***ING

WAY.

If there's anything sadder than fat old balding punks, it's fat old balding METAL GUYS.

I liked the Scorpions back in the 80s but Whitesnake BITES ASS.

Besides, Johnny Rotten is the f***in' MAN, and always will be! His interviews are pure gold, a sarcastic joyride! He has s*** to talk about any subject known to man!
