#27 - Marlon Byrd

Age: 32

Position: OF

2009 Stats: .283/.329/.479, 20 HR, 89 RBI, 8 SB

He hit twice as many home runs last season as he ever has before, but he's been an above-average major leaguer for three full years now, and one who can comfortably play all three outfield positions. The White Sox could use outfielders, now that they've cut ties with both Jermaine Dye (no. 31) and Scott Podsednik (no. 49), and Byrd could prove an intelligent signing.

CURRENT TEAM: RANGERS

BEST FIT: WHITE SOX

Good fit? Quentin, Rios, and Byrd? Byrd is also a Type B Free Agent.

That's one icky OF.

It would be nice, for the right price. He has played all three OF spots in his career.

xavier nady or rick ankiel actually might be a nice fit.....anyone agree?

Ankiel, I have a problem with the HGH.

Otherwise, finding someone who can fill that role short-term who is basically an average player towards the bottom of our lineup doesn't sound like a bad thing to me.
