Back from the mountains and WOW!

Featured Replies

After a week of living the life of a mountain man in the Davis Mountains, I finally return to civilization Friday afternoon and find a local paper. With great trepidation on my part, I slowly turn to the sports section. Thumbing past the news on Texas League Baseball, I find the major league standings and what to my wandering eye should appear, but a 6 game winning streak! No articles just the standings.

Would anybody care to give me the cliff notes version of what happened last week?

I now have a dilema. It appears that we win when I don't shower for a week. This isn't going to work while I'm living with polite city folk.

It just so happens that Loaiza, Buehrle, Colon, and Garland have been fantastic. The offense has just ignited. Plus Frank Thomas hit career HR no. 400! The Sox snapped their 8 game winning streak yesterday losing 10-6 vs. Tampa. Mike Porzio and Rick White were terrible. And now we are just 4 back, not bad....Ginter was brought up for Porzio, Wunsch was solid in his first game back, and that's about it.

Wow welcome back. You can shower now cuz the Sox did finally lose. Hurry up though cuz they are gonna start winning again very soon.

Most exciting was the 9th inning come back against Toronto and then the 2nd game was a 13 inning 4-3 win against Toronto. A lot of clutch hitting and dominant pitching from starters and Gordon/Marte has kept us rolling.
