February 10, 201016 yr Hello all! I know there are quite afew of you out there that are real familiar with different photo shop programs to create different effects. I'm rather in the dark on this subject. Here's what I am trying to do (and below I listed 4 links that lead to pictoral examples). In my church. I create a lot of powerpoints for the announcements amd am looking to spruce things up a bit with more visual aids. Sometimes I'll use photos with words in front of them. I wanted to start putting slides up on the screens that get a little more animated. I have no idea on how to create animations on only CERTAIN PORTIONS of a picture (Moving water, glitter, stars, flashing words etc) By looking at the links, any suggestions on what programs are out there that I can create some of these effects without having to be some guru genius to figure it out? Lastly........any ideas on the cost of the programs that you list whether it be by software or downloads? Thanks, Rooftop Moving Water Moving Water 2 Moving Wings, Glitter Hands Multiple pictures with Moving border
February 10, 201016 yr Author Hmmmm! Kind of disappointed that no responses came in. Been doind a lot of searching, but I hate to go purchasing something if it is not what I am looking for. The small tutorials and reviewed infos don't seem to tell you a whole lot. Was hoping that someone here with different photoshop programs experience would have been able to steer me in the right direction. Since that didn't seem to work out, anyone else have any suggestions??
February 10, 201016 yr Tutorials are more important than which program. Adobe makes the best stuff but training in how to use it is the most important part to success.

Open up a jpg, define the area to ripple, adjust a couple of parameters and you're done. Google "rippling water image algorithm" etc., and you'll get a bunch of them. They have been around for about 10 years, so there are going to be some older programs out there. Some of those other images you linked are just animated gifs, and gif animators are also out there in abundance as freeware.

You gave me some search ideas that I haven't thought of.
