Overnight Parking near Metra Station

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

So I recently got a new gig in Rolling meadows and I live in the city (bucktownish).

I don't really know if I could stand sitting on the kennedy for an hour/hour and a half every day so I would much rather take the train to work. I live within walking distance of the metra clybourn station.

I really don't use my car in the city and really would only need it to get from the train station to work and back.

So my question is: do any of you use those metra stations over there? Do you know if they allow overnight parking? There really isn't much information online.

A friend of mine said the palatine station allows overnight parking and that they don't even ticket overnight, so it would be free, any experiences?

Interesting - we live in Bucktown and my wife did exactly what you are planning to do. She walked to Clybourn, got a train to Palatine, and we kept a 2nd (crappy) car at the Palatine station during the week. She'd drive it up to Lake Zurich-ish for work, then back to the Palatine station. If we wanted the car on the weekend, she'd just drive home with it Friday after work.

So, I know Palatine has a garage, where you can do that. If you want more info, PM me.

I've parked at the Palatine station over night and had no issue.
