July 30, 200322 yr Whew!! That is not nearly as significant as the trade I heard going around about Richie Sexson going to the A's. Jose Guillen is a solid pick-up, but Richie Sexson would have been huge.

July 30, 200322 yr Valentine has really struggled in AAA. I think the key to the deal for the Reds is that Harrang can enter their rotation. I think it was a good deal from the Reds perspective. A's may of given up too much, but neither Valentine nor Harrang fit in their plans.
