Computer Question--Mac/Music

Featured Replies

I need to find a program, preferably free, that will allow me to record audio from an outside source and convert it to an mp3. I downloaded a program called audacity and I was able to record the audio, but I couldn't convert it. Can anybody help?

To clarify:

The music is on a digital multi-track recorder. I am plugging this into my computer with a RCA to 1/8" cable.

I need to be able to record the songs and then save them as an mp3.

What OS are you running? I think the quicktime version that comes with Snow Leopard will do that.
