LDF
White Sox announce scouting moves CHICAGO - The Chicago White Sox have named Doug Laumann special assignment scout, while announcing that Duane Shaffer will resume responsibilities for the club's amateur scouting activities. Laumann served as director of scouting with the White Sox for three seasons and has been with the club as an area scout, supervisor and national crosschecker since 1990. Shaffer, the team's senior director of player personnel, was the Sox scouting director for 10 seasons (1991-2000). He has worked for the White Sox since 1969 as a player, coach, roving instructor, manager, scout, supervisor and scouting director. was this a promotion or what? CubKilla
Sounds like it for Laumann. Looks like Shaffer is going back to his original job. Cerb or Rex would probably know.
