    Appier was released around Tuesday or Wednesday, and I think KC picked him up on Thursday (maybe Friday).

     

    Right now, nobody else has been released that I know of -- at least not anyone that would be of value to the Sox.

    I did read an article on the Royals' homepage that says the have interest in picking Appier up if/when he clears waivers. That should have already happened, as he was released a few days ago, but who knows.

    Appier lives in KC, everyone speculates since their pitching is so bad that they'll take a chance on him.

    he is obviously done if the angels were willing to release him and payout his huge contract...we wont need him if we are going to a four man rotation anyway...i think we will just be wasting our money.

    He needs to clear waivers first before anyone picks him up. He still has not done that. Speculation is that KC will pick him up if he clears a waivers.
