My little girl loves to hang out with my wife and I while we are having dinner. If she's in the other room, or we are outta sight for a while when's she's awake, she goes ape-sh*t. That's a very good one, and definitely avoid the bouncer swings or anything that their legs hang through (including those little "cars" they roll around in). There are multiple studies of why those are terrible for development of babies' joints.
