May 10, 201114 yr I'm headed to Denver for 8 days next week for lacrosse and we'll have a lot of down time between games. Any suggestions on things to do or see in the city? I'm thinking about going to a Rockies game on Monday night.

Pretty cool area around there too after the games
May 18, 201114 yr There's a breckenridge brewery in Denver that's pretty good. Denver's mexican food isn't bad, either. But, not as good as it is in the states to it's south and south east.
May 18, 201114 yr I lived in DEN for 2 years, in the mid-late 90's. Been back a bunch of times. Some suggestions... --Best area of town to hang out is LoDo (Lower Downtown). Lots of great bars and microbrews (I recommend Rocky Mountain Tap and its 100+ beers on tap, and the Wynkoop micro-brewery), Coors Field is there, some good restaurants, art galleries, music venues, everything you'd want. Light rail gets you to and from. --Denver area is incredibly sprawled, so careful where you plan to go, and leave time. --A beer recommendation, one of my all time faves, brewed in CO and only available there and in nearby states: 90 Shilling by O'Dell's. --Hidden gem restaurant: Parisi Italian Market and Deli, on the NW side. A real-ish Italian deli and cafe.
