Balta1701
Paul Konerko now has an extra base hit in 9 consecutive games, breaking a franchise mark that had stood since 1936. Someone else can repeat the name of the guy who had the 8 if they heard it.

whitesoxbrian
While tonight's game sucked a**, at least PK is flat out raking. If somehow this teams pulls their collective head out of their a** and makes a run at the division title, PK could be an MVP candidate. I usually disagree with Hawk, but he's right on when he says that even though he's in his late 30's, Konerko is just starting to completely figure it out at the plate. He can easily play 3-4 more years after this one.

max power
I think the blue jays failures as a team will hurt his chances too much.

LittleHurt05
QUOTE (MAX @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 01:00 AM) I think the blue jays failures as a team will hurt his chances too much. Assuming the Red Sox win the East, the voting should be interesting if Bautista still has better overall numbers than AGon.
Balta1701
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 01:58 AM) I think Quentin is going to be the MVP candidate from the White Sox. Either way, I think Bautista is going to end up winning it. It's a small sample obviously, but he's hitting .233 with a .672 OPS in June.
