Reinsdorf will be one of 17 people honored at a gala in Washington, D.C., for their contributions. Reinsdorf was selected to receive the Jefferson Award for "Greatest Public Service Benefitting the Disadvantaged." Reinsdorf has served on several boards with Major League Baseball, including MLB's Equal Opportunity Committee and was involved with the development of MLB's Diverse Business Partners Program. Through White Sox Charities, the Chicago Park District, Special Olympics and the Inner City Little League have benefitted.
