Brian26
Personally, I like Veal more than Septimo, but I'm not sure the White Sox do. I liked what I saw from Veal last night. Septimo has a little too much Marte in him.
caulfield12
QUOTE (Brian26 @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 07:59 PM) I liked what I saw from Veal last night. Septimo has a little too much Marte in him. Marte was one of the best, if not THE best, LHR in baseball in 2001 and 2002 and parts of 2003 and 04. If Septimo was anywhere close to him, it would be a coup. Right now, we need someone better than Thornton, not as good as Marte was before he had a falling out with Ozzie and almost got kicked off the team until the players voted to keep him on the squad against Ozzie's wishes to release him. Jake
I like Leyson, but I'm leaning Veal. Ideally they'll get Veal an inning tomorrow to see if that curveball was real life or just fantasy

Maybe '02 and parts of '03. I'm thinking of the Opening Day meltdown in '04 and the Cubs game disaster. Too many bad memories of Damaso....
